A group of women from families of the missing, supported by Amal Center for Advocacy and Recovery and in cooperation with the International Commission on Missing Persons, organized a campaign entitled “Alive, I Want to See Him — Dead, I Want His Body.” The campaign was launched to commemorate the missing, and to call upon the international community to uncover their fate and enable families to exercise their right to truth and justice.

  • Commemorate the missing in Syria on the International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances and uphold families’ right to truth.
  • Appeal to international actors and the Syrian government to take practical steps to uncover the fate of the missing, ensure justice, and provide reparation.

  • Raising public awareness of the issue through videos, visual materials, and meetings.
