Capacity Building
Capacity Building
Amal Center works on building the capacities of women and survivors of detention through specialized training and rehabilitation programs that strengthen their professional and personal skills, enabling them to rely on themselves and actively participate in society. These programs include practical and theoretical training, workshops aimed at developing life skills, support for individual and group initiatives, and encouragement for women to engage in various fields of work. Through this pathway, the Center promotes women’s economic and social independence and ensures their effective contribution to building a more inclusive and just society.
Features of the Capacity Building Department
Professional and Skills Training:
Amal Center provides a safe environment for vulnerable women and girls to build their capacities through diverse professional and skills-based trainings. These include project management, accounting, résumé writing, languages, computer programs, and specialized awareness sessions. These activities aim to equip beneficiaries with practical knowledge that supports their integration into the labor market and increases their employment opportunities. They also enable women to create or develop small businesses, strengthening their economic independence and improving their long-term living standards.
Economic Empowerment:
This service includes economic empowerment programs offered by Amal Center to Syrian women, particularly those who face challenges working outside the home. The center provides opportunities to learn diverse professions through specialized vocational training workshops that enable women to produce and work from within their homes. In addition, the center facilitates connections with trainers and experts in host countries, helping beneficiaries develop marketable products and reach both local and regional markets. Through this approach, the service seeks to enhance women’s financial independence, enabling them to become economically active and contribute to improving their own and their families’ living conditions.
