Research Background
The Amal Center for Advocacy and Recovery conducted qualitative research, supported by the Euro-Mediterranean Foundation, with the aim of understanding the transformations in Syrian women’s political awareness after the revolution, and how this has been reflected in their perspectives on rights and public participation.

- Since the revolution, there has been a qualitative shift in women’s interest in political affairs and their pursuit of deeper awareness to understand reality.

Recommendations
- Develop programs and projects targeting families to reduce patriarchal and male-dominated authority and achieve greater balance in relationships.
- Promote civic engagement culture among women by enabling their participation in local structures and authorities.
- Reassess women’s political empowerment programs in line with evolving realities.
- Organize advocacy campaigns to combat violence against women and strengthen their presence in public life.
